Crop Fertilization Calculations

SMBSC fertilizion calculations are based on the University of Minnesota nutrient guidelines as of the fall of 2005. These guidelines assume nutrient applications are made following Best Management Practices. For further information, please visit the UMN Department of Soil, Water, and Climate Publications and refer to the bulletins titled: Fertilizing Corn in Minnesota; Fertilizing Wheat in Minnesota; and Fertilizing Sugar Beets in Minnesota and North Dakota. Nutrient guidelines may need to be modified relative to your situation. Please consult with SMBSC, University or local agronomist for specific modifications of these nutrient guidelines.
